We have returned from Watertown, SD unscathed. No wintry blasts to keep us busy pushing vehicles through snow drifts (my back still aches from last weeks Great Outdoors Adventure). For the first time since I moved to Fargo, the super strong winds actually helped. The were on our tail the whole way to Watertown, helping to offset the ever increasing miles/gallon costs. We even had a pretty good time at The Dakota Sioux Casino. What else is there to say.

Oh yeah, my Cubbies managed to salvage one out of two games this weekend. Cool. One of our Carmen The Cactus friends (Mike Holtz) celebrated a birthday. Stubby and I got to visit Thomas Michael at Pistol Pete’s on Thursday. Good time! Those much needed tax rebates started hitting bank accounts, and most importantly, I got some much needed rest. All in all, a good week.

But I can’t wait to get to the next couple of weeks.

Coming up is The Lonesome Dove in Bismarck, ND. Followed by Shooter’s Saloon in Superior, WI. Two of my faves. Lots of dancers, and plenty of party animals. I don’t know what I was thinking when we scheduled these two back to back. Our livers will be needing some time to heal when we return to Pistol Pete’s (oops! livers may have to wait until the following week). Oh well, the show must go on.

I hope we get to see y’all soon.
