We recently received a note from 7 year old Tristen Thompson’s mother concerning the upcoming benefit at Pistol Pete’s in West Fargo, ND. It will be held this coming Wednesday. Here is what she sent us…

just thought I would let you know.. he has a lot of symptoms that are severe… his last medication alone was $737.00 and that was only for a medication that was 2.5 ml.

What Causes It?
Like hemophilia, vWD is a genetic disorder that is passed from parent to child. The child of a man or a woman with vWD has a 50% chance of getting the gene. In types 1 and 2, a child inherits the gene for the disease from one parent. In type 3, the child usually inherits the gene from both parents. In those cases, the child will likely have severe symptoms, even if the parents don’t have any symptoms at all

my son has level 3.. so he has the worst case… just to give you a heads up…
