Thanks Taco, It Was Fun

Thanks Taco

Forgive me for taking so long to post this, but it has been a pretty busy January here at The Great Outdoors central.

It was fun

Well, after a six year run as The Great Outdoors guitarist, Bill Taco Eastep has moved on to other projects. We would like to thank him for his service and wish him the best of luck in all he does.

Taco logged in a ton of shows, from as far north as International Falls, MN and Bottineau, ND to Denver, CO and Jackson Hole, WY. Of course, several towns in both MN, MT and ND. Taco did five consecutive years at Sturgis Motorcyle Rally, and hours and hours of seat time in the truck.

Good luck Taco.

What’s next for The Great Outdoors?

The Great Outdoors hired Jason Davis on guitar, and rehired veteran bassist Biff Leingang. So now, along with Vance VanWagner on drums, the lineup is plugging along, business as usual. Until summer comes along, you might see a few fill in players on The Great Outdoors stage as Jason has other commitments. He will be joining us for most, if not all, of the weekend dates until then. With that in mind we would also like to thank Robbie Helms and Carl Huffman for helping us out on stage as we wait for summer to arrive.

This month we have played in  Waseca, MN at a new club called Nashville Saloon. We have also added Belfield, ND club Burly’s Roughrider Bar (they serve an amazing steak) and continue to haunt our favorites in Minot and Grand Forks, ND.

Meanwhile, we look forward to upcoming gigs in Mandan, ND at the Lonesome Dove and another trip to Speck’s in Fargo, ND. Check out our schedule here.

Congrats to all you folks who had money on the Eagles winning the Super Bowl.
